Sub-section: A look at current ConnDOT state route signage.

A Look at some side by side comparisons of variations in signage for a particular route.

Route 140:  All photos taken in East Windsor and Windsor Locks.  As you can see there are extreme
variations in signage within a few miles on this route.


Sign 1) FHWA Type-B Font on CT Standard Square Shield
Sign 2) FHWA Type-C Font on CT Standard Square Shield
Sign 3) FHWA Type-B Font on MA-style 'thin-border' shield
Sign 4) FHWA Type-C Font on Elongated Shield (which CT doesn't technically do)

Route 159:  All photos taken in Windsor and Windsor Locks.  As you can see there are extreme
variations in signage within a few miles on this route.
